I'm in for the Moon Voyage at least but I'll shoot for Mars. I've got plenty of the winners on my reading list already.
Dave: Moon and Mars are easy to do together; Heinlein's got five books on the Hugo lists (if you count the retro Hugo he won). You can also pick up half of the Venus voyage with the Hugo awarded to PKD for Man in the High Castle. And if you're judicious with your Hugo picks, you might be able to find three books that have won both the Hugo and the Nebula, getting you that challenge too. ;) There's *twenty* of them.
I'm also going to create my own mission, to the asteroid belt, by reading all five nominees for the 2010 Best Novel Hugo. (Okay, I have to if I'm going to exercise my franchise correctly -- yes, I'm a Hugo voter -- but it's kinda special.) Also, before the year's out, one of the five will have a Hugo, so it'll be like getting a Hugo winner for free! ;)
Looking at my reading list for the next year, I can probably achieve all of them if I put my mind to it, which I guess falls under the Pluto category.
Anyway, this long comment is to say that I'm in!

Yeah, Katster, I figure I can combine 'em pretty easy. You're right about the others of course. The multiple winners make it nice if you're trying to complete both lists. Two birds with one stone.
Hi Dave and Kat,
I'm happy that you decided to join in.
Dave: Really like World Without End and appreciate you stumbling the challenge.
Kat: How cool that you are a hugo voter. I had thought about including quest to read books that might be considered hugo nominees for 2010. Can you share who the five nominees are for 2010? It could be special quest added after the first of the year.
Thanks Robin and no problem on the stumble. The more the merrier. I hope you get some eyeballs from it.
Your challenge dovetails in nicely with the whole purpose of WWEnd which is to get folks reading the good stuff. You can even use our site to help with your challenge by tagging all the books you want to read. I've got 60+ books on my reading list already!
Robin: The list will probably be out sometime in March. We've got to go through the nomination phase first, which is usually the first couple months of 2010. The shortlist is picked from the works which received the highest number of nominations.
I'll let you know as soon as I know. :)

I'm going to see how many I can do without really altering my reading habits. I think I'm going to read new-to-me women though.
I've been blogging my way through award winners anyway, so I should get a few trips in by default. I'm looking forward to following other people's posts though!
I'm in for Jupiter! This fast-tracks some of the books that have been on my shelves for years now. I'm excited - this reminds me of the summer reading challenges at the public library from my childhood. Is there anyway that we could get some RL construction paper rockets and planets with our polaroids pasted thereon? :)
I think I will try the Sling Shot back to Earth challenge.
Okay, I'm in.
I'm already halfway through the Slingshot back since the beginning of the year (Red Mars and halfway through American Gods), so I'll go for the Moon as well.
Eric
This is a great idea. I found out about it through Worlds Without End. I'm shooting for the Mars Voyage, and I think I can knock out the Mercury Voyage at the same time; I already read Starship Troopers in January. I might do some '90s side tripping, too; there are a lot of (relatively) recent sci-fi books I've been meaning to read.
Oh boy, I hope I can finish all these challenges. They're so hard to resist though! =)
